The Tale of the Fisherman

The sound of the waves crashing on the shore always bring me peace. If serenity had specific features, surely this must be one of them. This type of tranquility is both unmatched and irreplaceable. It’s been almost two years since I’ve been back in my native homeland of Barbados.

“Right Now”

How often do we tell ourselves…. Later? Now think about how “later” eventually turns into never. I think there are so many unseen gifts in this world that are hidden behind “later.” Whether its lack of time, energy, resources, or even faith, sometimes we have the tendency to lock up our gifts in a place where they may never have the chance to shine.

The Present

The echoes of my regrets seem to go off at an alarming rate at times. I find myself getting stuck somewhere between the “what if’s” and the “maybe’s.” It never seems to do me any good holding on to what was or what could be.
